Manly Card Swap

Wanted to share the card I made for a "Manly Card Swap" I'm in at http://www.acharmingplace.com/. The Knight Charm is from there too:). The Chess board and pieces (CD00707 Chess) I cut with my Klic n Kut are are by Chris Durnan of http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/. The "Happy
Birthday" was also cut with my Klic n Kut and is from my favorite sentiments file (SS00007 Sentiments Variety) by Shelly's Art at http://www.paperthreads.com/. Thanks for looking.

Here's another card I made recently. It was for a good friend's son. He graduated HS this year and is attending Villanova. The card itself is Sam & Hailey Designs' Pop-out card . The file (JB00434) is in this Quarterly membership Club at http://www.paperthreads.com/ . The Villinova paper piecings are vector files from http://www.freelogovector.com/detail-v-Villanova_Wildcats_NCAA.php and Trademarked. the congraulations and wildcat I designed myself. All were cut with my klic n kut.

Saturday night

I'm just catching up on my websites and a few blogs so decided to update mine. My step-niece is pregnant and started a blog about it. Her Mom sent me the address and I just read it. It's going to be entertaining:). This is a coin holder I made for the grandmother to be. It's of the mother to be's wedding. I didn't get to go to the wedding but from the pictures it looks beautiful and fun! I love the picture in the middle.

Do you know the way to San Jose? Well, I'm going to learn it next week! Actually, I went there yearrrsss ago with work. But next week I'm going for fun! Meeting up with my scrappy friends. I'm excited. We're going to tour San Francisco on Friday and hang out and scrap the rest of the time. I really need a break from work and some girlfriend time. My friend Chandra and her daughter and I are flying out at the "butt crack of dawn" Thursday morning. That's the only part I'm not looking forward to. And of course coming home won't be any fun either. The jeg lag on the return trip always kills me. I've already told work I won't be in that morning.

I think I'll go read now. I hear another thunder storm coming.

What a storm!

We had an incredible hail storm last Friday. It came from the line of storms that caused so much damage across the county. We were very fortunate not to have any damage. My brother's family were also blessed. A tornado went through their town and they were missed. Several of their friends were not so fortunate. Here are a few pictures from our hail storm. It looked like snow.
